We just decided to host a casual little potluck lunch just before our garden-themed session at the HUMANs Solidarity Summit (which we'll host from the conference room 2-4pm) this Saturday March 21, 12-2pm at the Social Justice Center 1202 Williamson. Maybe we'll do it outdoors on that expected-to-be-lovely day. And you're also welcome to go in the conference room to enjoy some online karaoke hosted by Marilyn from her home in Hawaii.

Join us for a weekend of fun, connection, learning, and action toward a neighborly global
economy, powered by mutual aid.
Join us for this quarterly event.
The HUMANs host a Solidarity Summit every quarter, in the weekend nearest to the Solstice
or Equinox. Our aim is to host a place for people to find each other and work together or
harmoniously to build a solidarity neighborly economy.

Hello friends,

A big part of what we do at the Madison MAN (Mutual Aid Network) Cooperative is find ways to bring people together. 

Then we find ways for those gatherings to be able to spawn community-enriching activities and projects.

One of the new regular sessions we've added to our schedule is a weekly learning session. We're open to any topics offered or requested by participants.

This Friday, March 6 at 2pm at Social Justice Center (same day, time, and place, different topic each week) we'll have another community conversation about ICE, including what we should do if and when they come to Madison. This session will NOT include representatives of Madison Police Department. We welcome people to share what they've learned at trainings with those who are specialized and/or directly impacted, and it will be a participatory conversation.

Another of our community projects is Everywhere Gardens, where we match gardeners, teachers, and learners with under-tended land. Would you like to participate? Learn more? Get in touch by email or text 608 345-8776.

And either way please join us at the seed-starting session on Saturday March 7, 10:30am at 212 Merry St. 
This is hosted by Brainplate Grows composting cooperative, Healthy Food for All, and Myco-Rising in conjunction with People’s Liberation Movement. We’ll be making plans for collaborations as we plant.

Last but definitely not least, every Friday at SJC 1202 Williamson St:
2pm Learning Hour - this week we'll have a conversation with our neighborhood MPD officer (out of uniform) about their policy and procedures regarding ICE, and how we can help our community by being aware of our rights.

3pm Work Hour - the focus rotates depending on what’s needed, and you’re welcome to do your own work alongside us if you like. We’ll continue to build our organizing process for a health and care network and the specifics will be clearer when we get together.

Some Fridays at 4pm we hold a RAD (short for Real Estate and Development) Coop organizing session. Friday 2.13 we’ll hear from Olivia Williams about her perspective and experience regarding cooperative community land trusts and similar models.
